Penny Wong's 'dangerously stupid' argument should make Australians afraid: Bolt

Penny Wong's speech made a "dangerously stupid" argument which should make Australians very afraid if Labor were to win next year's federal election, according to Sky News host Andrew Bolt.
It comes after Senator Wong took aim at comments made by Mr Dutton earlier this month where he said it was "inconceivable" that Australia would not back the United States if there was a war over Taiwan.
During an address to the ANU National Security College, the shadow Foreign Minister said Mr Dutton was "wildly out of step" with long-held Australian foreign policy in terms of relations with Taiwan.
She said it was "the most dangerous election tactic in Australian history".
"There should be no ambiguity about our position – not in defending Taiwan but in supporting the US if it does go to war," Mr Bolt said.
"Did Penny Wong really believe what she said today? If she did, a Labor government will be just what China wants."
