L’ALTRO GIAPPONE promoted the first multidisciplinary approach to the figure of Yuzuru Hanyū, an icon of art and sport in contemporary Japanese culture. The conference THE TOTAL PACKAGE / TRIBUTE TO YUZURU HANYŪ tried to combine sport and cultural analysis, thanks to the presence of Massimiliano Ambesi.

The main theme of the Festival was ‘Man and Nature’, and it was entirely dedicated to the decennial of the triple disaster in the Tōhoku region. An Olympic session was also held on the last day, presenting the special lecture THE TOTAL PACKAGE / TRIBUTE TO YUZURU HANYŪ as the closing event of the whole festival.
