(Last Look) Coney Island bound R160 (N) train arrives 30 Avenue seen from street level
Published at : October 16, 2021
As I was just walking past 30 Avenue, I noticed an R160 (N) leaving Astoria Blvd in the distance, so I quickly decided to record this video of it entering 30 Avenue. Because of the sunlight, you can't see the front or side LEDs that well, but at least the (N) on the back is still visible lol.
Now by "Last Look", I didn't mean that R160s are now completely off the (N) and (W), but it's because the number of them has decreased from having 9 before. As of now, there are as many as 5 R160s remaining in Coney Island Yard. The rest have been split in half and have started running on the (G) line. By the end of this month (Or even as early as sometime next week), the (G) will be completely 5-car R160s from Jamaica Yard, and there will be no more R160s on the (N) and (W). Get your videos of the R46s/R68s/R68As on the (G) and R160s on the (N) and (W) while you still can! You may still have some time left!
