The quality of the welding done on a mixer machine involved in the Tuas explosion is now coming under scrutiny. It is among key points an inquiry committee could study to see if the welding had any effect on the machine's rupture and the deadly blast that followed. On the third day of the inquiry on Sep 22, two migrant workers were called to the stand. One of them is the sole welder of Stars Engrg.
