Organizing the space under your kitchen sink is one of the easiest places to organize in your home -- and one that will deliver the most gratifying results! We all have that big space under the kitchen sink, and it’s easy for it to get crowded, crammed and overstuffed with cleaning products, trash bags, dish soap, sponges and more. Even worse, there is always a big pipe or two to work around, along with a disposal and sometimes a huge water filter! So the challenge is there, but the solution is oh-so-easy. Let’s get that cabinet under your kitchen sink organized!
Step 1: Take everything out! Clean that space and get it ready for its new organized role in your kitchen.
Step 2: Sort and categorize. And edit while you’re at it! Aim to have only one of each type of cleaner in this “prime real estate” area of your kitchen.
Step 3: Install organizing solutions. I feature some of my favorites here: they are either plastic bins that can be pulled in/out like drawers (that can still slide under all of those pipes and the disposal), or an actual drawer unit that helps you maximize the vertical space.
Step 4: Label your bins. This is the fun part! You can see your categories, keep them well-stocked and keep that under sink cabinet organized.
Bravo!
